Distribution of total accrued wages by 10-percent groups of employees in organizations (excluding small businesses)
Total accrued wages are distributed among deciles of employees based on their income levels. Each group includes ten percent of all employees, and the percentage shows the share of the total wage amount they receive. For example, in 2000, the tenth group with the highest wages received 36.4 % of the total accrued wages. This figure shows the extent of income inequality between the highest and lowest earners
