How to read this table

Regional comparison is facilitated by rows that highlight federal districts and the total for the Russian Federation. It is possible to see which districts supplied the largest coal shipments during the year. Figures are measured in tonnes and are distributed across twelve columns, one for each month of the reporting period

What is visible in these numbers

Table columns: January; February; March; April; June; July; August; September; October; November; December

Out of 192 possible values, 166 are filled (86.5%). There are gaps, but they are isolated: for some positions, observations were not always conducted

Period and application

The information is current for 2021 and provides a month‑by‑month breakdown for twelve months. It will be useful for wholesale market participants, commodity market analysts and coal industry representatives to assess seasonality and sales volumes throughout the reporting year

How it is calculated

Wholesale turnover shows how much goods actually pass through a region and where it makes sense to locate a warehouse
