The sample includes companies with an average of more than 15 employees that are not small enterprises. The unit of measurement is thousands of conventional cans. The data are distributed across 54 rows covering the Russian Federation, federal districts, and individual regions, providing insight into the geographical structure of supplies

Comparing values between rows allows for an assessment of each region's contribution to the total volume of wholesale canned fish sales in a given month. Columns corresponding to the periods from January to December show the monthly dynamics of supplies throughout 2021 for each territory separately

Period and application
The statistics cover all twelve months of 2021. This data set is useful for analyzing seasonality in the wholesale segment of the food market. The data were prepared by Rosstat and are intended for specialists studying commodity flows and the logistics of fish products in the country

Wholesale turnover shows how much goods actually pass through a region and where it makes sense to locate a warehouse
