Energy-related greenhouse gas emissions

· dynamics annual · rows: 5 · periods: 12 · section: Environment

The volume of greenhouse gas emissions from the energy sector in Russia is recorded annually from 2005 to 2023. The rows show total values as well as separate emissions from fossil fuel combustion and from losses or technological processes. These indicators allow assessment of the sector’s overall impact on the atmosphere over the entire period and to see the overall pollution picture

How to read this table

Differences between the rows separate the anthropogenic load on the environment by specific sources. One can compare what share of the total volume comes from fuel combustion and what arises from technological losses in systems. This breakdown helps understand the structure of energy‑sector emissions and track how each factor’s contribution changed over almost two decades

What is visible in these numbers

“Total” leads the table with 1,650, “от потерь и технологических выбросов в атмосферу — от добычи твердых топлив” closes it with 43. The gap between them is 38.4-fold.
