Families with varying numbers of children in Russia and Belarus are compared by their level of equipment with consumer durables, such as televisions and computers. Each row contains a specific type of appliance for each of the two countries, while columns show the distribution by the number of children under 16, up to the total. The 2022 data provide a cross-section of the situation in households without accounting for past trends, allowing for a comparison of family living standards in the two states based on appliance ownership

How to read this table
Table rows are grouped by country and appliance type, allowing for an assessment of the prevalence of specific devices. Values can be compared both within a single country between households with different numbers of children and between Russia and Belarus for the same category of families. For example, the television indicator for households with one child in Belarus is 160, whereas for all families with children in the same country it is 162, reflecting differences in availability depending on family composition
