Growth rate of the number of children with disabilities in orphanages

Between 2012 and 2017, the number of children with disabilities raised in specialized institutions for orphans and children left without parental care changed. Trends are presented as a percentage of the previous year, allowing for an assessment of the intensity of changes. The table contains ninety rows, categorized by federal districts and individual constituent entities, such as the Voronezh Region. Data were prepared based on information from the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia and cover the situation in each region of the country separately

Period and application

The data covers a six-year period, concluding with 2017. This information is regularly used by social policy specialists, guardianship authority staff, and representatives of relevant agencies involved in supporting orphans. Rosstat publishes these indicators to assess institutional performance by region and to monitor the state of the orphanage system, providing an up-to-date statistical basis for specialized research
