Subsistence minimum per capita and by population group
From 2021 to 2026, different subsistence minimums are established in Russia for various categories of citizens. The rows provide values for the total population, the working-age population, and pensioners, as well as a specific indicator for children under 16. These figures allow for an assessment of the official poverty threshold across the country's main socio-demographic groups. Data are presented in rubles and cover the entire territory of the Russian Federation

How to read this table
Differences between the rows allow for a comparison of the subsistence minimum levels for the working population and persons of retirement age. These values track how the required income level changes for each social category from year to year. Comparing the rows helps identify the gap between the total per capita figure and the amounts allocated to specific groups, such as pensioners or the working-age population
What is visible in these numbers
The largest value belongs to “Total population — working-age population — value” — 20,644; the smallest is “Total population — pensioners — as of 1 January 2022” at 10,882.
