Most trips come from neighboring countries rather than long‑distance tourism: a significant share is from Abkhazia, Kazakhstan, China, CIS countries.
Purpose of the trip is recorded at border crossing, and “tourism” here is a formal label, not a guarantee that the person came for leisure.
