Language proficiency among the population of the most numerous nationalities in Buryatia
More than nine hundred thousand people participated in the 2020 Census in the Republic of Buryatia, and this dataset shows language proficiency by ethnicity. Rows are grouped by specific languages, including English, as well as by categories of those who indicated or did not indicate their ethnicity. The intersection of columns and rows provides the number of speakers of each language for each ethnic group, offering a detailed view of the region's linguistic diversity at the time of the survey

Rosstat prepared these data as part of the fifth volume of the census results, which focuses on the ethnic composition and language proficiency of Russia's population, enabling in-depth analysis of the linguistic environment in Buryatia
