The 2020 population census results show the languages spoken by Adygea residents, broken down by nationality. The table contains 107 rows, specifying the number of people proficient in specific languages, including Adyghe, for each group. The data covers the entire population of the republic, from the total number of residents to those who did not specify their nationality. The total number of people who reported language proficiency was 459080, while 16443 residents did not specify their nationality during the survey

Period and application
The data was obtained during the 2020 All-Russian Population Census and reflects the linguistic landscape of the region at that time. This data is useful for researchers of linguistic processes, sociologists, and specialists studying the ethnic composition of the population in Adygea. The statistics are final for the specified period and are not subject to further updates, as they represent a snapshot of society at the time of the large-scale Rosstat survey
How it is calculated
Census results on ethnic composition and languages are used for planning the school teaching of native languages, assessing the need for translation of public services, and in ethnographic research
