Period and application
The statistics are based on the 2020 All-Russian Population Census results and represent a data snapshot taken at the time of the census. This information is useful for linguists, sociologists, and demographers studying the ethnic composition and cultural characteristics of Adygea. Rosstat prepared the data as part of the fifth volume of the census results, which is dedicated to ethnic composition and language proficiency. The information remains relevant as a basis for scientific research and monitoring of ethno-cultural processes in the republic over the long term
How it is calculated
Census results on ethnic composition and languages are used for planning the school teaching of native languages, assessing the need for translation of public services, and in ethnographic research
