895598 residents of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic reported proficiency in one or more languages during the 2020 All-Russian Population Census. The final list covers 120 languages, with proficiency distributed between urban and rural residents. Period and application
The data are based on the 2020 All-Russian Population Census and reflect the linguistic situation in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic at the time of the census. The statistics are relevant for ethnographers, sociologists, and those studying the ethnic composition and cultural characteristics of the region. These are final figures that do not show dynamics, as they represent a cross-section of data obtained from a one-time large-scale population survey conducted by Rosstat nationwide
