How to read this table
Language proficiency within different ethnic groups can be compared by analyzing the columns from Abazins to Eskimos. The rows are categorized by language type: Russian, English, and other languages reported by the population are highlighted. This helps identify which languages remain primary for the region's small-numbered peoples and which are used less frequently. The entire dataset is a single snapshot from the census results; therefore, year-on-year comparisons cannot be made using this table
What is visible in these numbers
The table is 18% filled: Rosstat does not publish every cell, and the gaps are left as they are rather than interpolated.
