Knowledge of languages of indigenous small-numbered peoples of Russia in Moscow Region
The number of people in the Moscow Region proficient in indigenous minority languages can be found in the census results. The list includes thirty-nine languages, from Abaza to Yukaghir, as well as Russian and English. The rows specify the languages identified by residents, allowing for a comparison of their prevalence. Data are derived from the 2020 All-Russian Population Census; this is a one-time snapshot without longitudinal data, and the figures represent the number of individuals who reported the language

Differences between rows illustrate the distribution of speakers: some languages are mentioned more frequently than others. For example, 171 people reported the Abaza language, while only 8 reported Yukaghir. All values in the table reflect the specific list of languages available to respondents during the census. Comparing these indicators helps assess the linguistic diversity among indigenous minority peoples in the region
What is visible in these numbers
There are 158 values in the table out of 975 possible, which is 16.2%. There are many gaps — some positions were observed only in certain periods, which should be taken into account when comparing
