The number of people in Leningrad Oblast proficient in indigenous languages can be determined from the 2020 Census data. The list includes forty-five languages, from Abaza to Eskimo, as well as the number of people proficient in Russian and English. Rows are categorized by specific language, allowing for an assessment of the prevalence of each language in the region. The data represents a single point in time; therefore, year-on-year comparisons are not possible

Table rows are categorized by proficiency type: indigenous languages are listed first, followed by Russian and English. This allows for a comparison between minority languages and widely spoken international and state languages. Values represent the number of individuals who specified a particular language in their census questionnaire. The list covers forty-five different language groups included in the sample
What is visible in these numbers
There are 126 values in the table out of 800 possible, which is 15.8%. The data is sparse — for many items, observations were not conducted for the entire period, and summary totals for them should not be calculated
