The Amur Region population, based on the 2020 All-Russian Population Census, is distributed across 118 nationalities and four groups: urban and rural population, men and women. Period and application
The 2020 All-Russian Population Census results record the distribution of Amur Region residents by nationality at the time of the survey. There is no temporal dynamics, only a cross-section of ethnic composition by sex and place of residence. This information is used by sociologists, government agencies, and those analyzing the demographic landscape of the region
How it is calculated
Census results on ethnic composition and languages are used in planning the school teaching of native languages, assessing the need for translation of public services, and in ethnographic research
