Over eight years, the share of the population using the internet for government services has increased more than sixfold, and the table shows how this occurred across the country and in each region. Rows contain data by federal districts and specific constituent entities, allowing for comparison between regions and highlighting differences in digitalization. The indicator is measured as a percentage of the total population; data are annual and cover Russia in its entirety

Moscow: the indicator grew from 26.1 to 96.4 in 2014–2022 — by a factor of 3.69. The highest value was 96.8 (2021), the lowest was 26.1 (2014). This is an average annual growth of 17.7%. Up to 2018 the change was +181.6%, after that +31.2%. Of the 25 largest rows, 25 increased, 0 decreased

How to read this table

Table rows are divided into federal districts and individual regions, allowing for identification of where the share of online service users is above or below the national average. In 2014, regional differences were more pronounced than in 2022, when almost all constituent entities approached the national value. Comparisons should be made using the percentage of use rather than absolute numbers, as the indicator is calculated based on the population of each region

What is visible in these numbers

The five highest values: Moscow (96.8), Moscow Oblast (89.8), Voronezh Oblast (88.3), Ivanovo Oblast (85.9), Central Federal District (80.1). The top five account for 25.9% of the total sum across all positions

Observations are annual and cover 9 periods. Cells with numbers: 225 out of 225 (100%), i.e. the table is almost completely filled

The Rosstat Statistical Yearbook contains these indicators for the period from 2014 to 2022. This information is relevant for specialists assessing the effectiveness of digital platforms, as well as for researchers studying the dynamics of electronic document management implementation in the daily lives of citizens in each constituent entity. The data allows for an assessment of the population's coverage by government services in digital format over nine years
