Structure of disposable resources and consumption expenditure of households
Two hundred twenty-three years ago, the distribution of household resources and expenditures became a subject of detailed study, and these 2023 data show the consumption structure by place of residence. The rows in the table detail disposable resource items, including monetary income and the value of in-kind receipts, as well as main expenditure categories. The columns separate indicators for all households, as well as for urban and rural residents separately, allowing for a comparison of budget structures across different living conditions

How to read this table
The comparison of shares of individual items in the total volume of resources and expenditures is best performed by columns, where 'Total disposable resources' is set at 100 percent. Each row represents the share of a specific type of income or expenditure, showing the portion of the budget allocated to food, services, or other needs in urban versus rural areas. Differences between rows allow for an assessment of the contribution of in-kind receipts to the total volume of resources, which is particularly evident when comparing different types of households in 2023

Period and application
The 2023 statistical snapshot was prepared by Rosstat to analyze the standard of living and quality of life of the population. This information is useful for economists, sociologists, and social policy specialists researching consumption patterns and household income sources. The data are presented as total shares without absolute units, making them suitable for comparative analysis of budget structures across different territorial living conditions within a single reporting year
