Number of heat supply sources in the Russian Arctic zone
There were 1110 heat supply sources in the land territories of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation in 2021, and by the end of 2022, the number was 1085 units. The indicator reflects the number of facilities at the end of each year, grouped by territory. The table presents data for two years, allowing for an assessment of the heat supply system in the Murmansk Oblast, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, and other constituent entities of the country's Arctic territories
Chart of the number of heat supply sources in the Arctic Zone of Russia by region for 2021–2022
Set in numbers
The table holds 11 series, running from 2021 to 2022, 2 reporting periods. 22 values in total.
“Dry land territories of the Russian Arctic Zone” declined by 2.3% between 2021 and 2022, from 1,110 to 1,085.

How to read this table
Territories are differentiated by rows, facilitating a comparison of the number of heat sources between regions and showing changes in each over the specified period. Comparing data for the Murmansk Oblast and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug allows for an assessment of the scale of infrastructure in different parts of the Arctic. Rosstat records this information annually, so the rows demonstrate how infrastructural coverage in the land territories of the Arctic Zone changes over time
What is visible in these numbers
“For reference: Russian Federation” leads the table with 74,822, “Chukotka Autonomous Okrug” closes it with 60. The gap between them is 1,247-fold.
The same indicator for other periods
These series cannot be stitched together Over the common period 2021 values diverge — Rosstat recalculated the indicator using a revised methodology. They cannot be combined into a single chart: a break would appear at the junction, which did not actually occur

Period and application
The data is current as of the end of 2021 and 2022 and is updated annually. The statistics are useful for energy specialists, researchers of infrastructure development in Arctic regions, and those analyzing the state of public utilities in the Far North. The data is obtained directly from official Rosstat reports, ensuring the accuracy of the information presented on the number of heat supply sources in each of the specified constituent entities of the Russian Federation
Показывается число источников теплоснабжения (котельных, когенерационных установок тепловой и электрической энергии, электробойлерных и прочих источников теплоснабжения), числящихся на балансе предприятия (организации) по состоянию на конец отчетного года.
