The breakdown by category in the columns helps to understand the share of specific types of federal SPNAs within the total protected area of each constituent entity
What is visible in these numbers
Indicators of the set: Total; including — state nature reserves; including — national parks; including — state nature sanctuaries; including — natural monuments; including — dendrological parks and botanical gardens; including — other categories of protected areas of federal significance
Out of 175 possible values, 126 are filled (72%). A smaller part of the table is filled, therefore direct comparison of items between periods may be misleading

The data is a one-time snapshot for 2015 and does not include year-on-year dynamics. The information is published in electronic versions of environmental protection bulletins. This data will be useful for ecologists, environmental agencies, and anyone studying natural resource status and the distribution of protected zones across Russia
How it is calculated
Data on emissions, discharges, and waste are used in the preparation of environmental reporting, assessment of the load on the territory, and selection of sites for production
