From 1990 to 2025, Rosstat recorded the annual cattle, cow, and pig populations in Russia as of year-end December. Data are grouped by species, enabling the tracking of population dynamics for each livestock type over thirty-six years. The indicator is measured in thousands of head and includes all farm categories, including agricultural organizations, peasant farm enterprises, and private household plots
