Twenty-six point three percent of cultural institutions used mobile internet in 2020, and by 2024 this figure was twenty-five point six percent. Data are grouped into ninety-six rows, separately highlighting the Russian Federation, federal districts, and constituent entities such as Belgorod Oblast. The indicator reflects the coverage of cultural organizations by modern communication technologies over a five-year period, providing an opportunity to assess internet accessibility in different parts of the country

A close comparison of indicators by federal districts and regions helps identify geographical patterns in mobile network access distribution. Each row contains annual values, facilitating the tracking of changes in mobile internet availability for cultural institutions at the local level throughout the observed period from 2020 to 2024

What is visible in these numbers

Five highest values: Arkhangelsk Region excluding AO (40), Arkhangelsk Region (38.4), Ivanovo Region (36.9), Yaroslavl Region (35), Bryansk Region (34.5). The top five account for 24.3% of the total sum across all positions

Period and application

Data are updated annually and contain current information on the state of digital infrastructure in the cultural sector. The statistics are useful for researchers, analysts, and government officials involved in the modernization of cultural spaces and communications development. All data are provided by Rosstat and cover the period from 2020 to 2024, allowing for an assessment of mobile internet usage dynamics across various regions of the country over five years

How it is calculated

Rosstat notes: Excluding statistical information for the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR), Zaporozhye and Kherson Regions. Information for the Siberian and Far Eastern Federal Districts is provided taking into account the composition of constituent entities of the Russian Federation in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 632 of 3 November 2018
