The dataset contains 75 rows, including totals for men and women, as well as a breakdown into groups below working age and of working age. Extreme values of the total row: within Russia, the increase is 0, and with other foreign countries, it is 29103 people. This is a snapshot without time periods; data is current as of the publication date

The row breakdown allows for comparison of the demographic structure of migration flows across different categories. It shows the difference in net migration between men and women and assesses the contribution of youth and the working-age population to total migration in the country. Comparing age groups helps to understand what portion of the population moves during their active working age versus other life stages

Period and application
Migration flow data is collected by Rosstat as a snapshot, recording the situation at a specific point in time without reference to annual dynamics. These indicators help assess the current balance of arrivals and departures by age and sex. The information is used by demographers to study population structure, government agencies to develop migration strategies, and sociologists to analyze the reasons for movement between regions and countries
