The rows highlight total migration, movements within Russia, and within a single region. The columns show the total number of arrivals, as well as their breakdown by duration of residence at the previous place: from less than a year to two years or more. The row "Total migration" shows that out of 4,749,769 arrivals, 463,411 did not specify their duration of residence

The rows in this table allow for comparing the scale of movements: from the total number of migrants to specific groups, such as intra-regional migration. By comparing the columns, one can understand the structure of the flow - how many people move for a long term and how many change their place of residence temporarily. This helps to see what share of arrivals already has long-term experience at their previous location, and what part of the movements is short-term or has no clearly recorded duration
What is visible in these numbers
The set includes the following indicators: Number of arrivals - total; including those who resided at the previous place of residence — from birth; including those who resided at the previous place of residence — not from birth; including those who resided at the previous place of residence — of these — 1 year; including those who resided at the previous place of residence — 2-4 years; including those who resided at the previous place of residence — 5-9 years; including those who resided at the previous place of residence — 10 years and more; duration of residence not specified
