Mortality of forest stands in the forests of the Russian Federation

· snapshot · rows: 7 · periods: 4 · section: Bulletins on environmental protection (electronic versions)

This Rosstat dataset records the area of forest loss in Russia. The rows detail the primary causes of forest loss: damage by harmful insects and wild animals, as well as total national figures. Each row provides two values: the absolute loss in hectares and the percentage change from the previous year, illustrating the scale and intensity of factors affecting forest resource conservation during the current period

How to read this table

Users can compare total forest loss with detailed breakdowns by specific threats to identify the most damaging factors. The table rows allow for a comparison between insect and wildlife damage, assessing the share of each factor in the total area of forest loss. Values provided in hectares and percentage change from the previous year show both the physical volume of losses and the trend compared to the previous year
